Vada Pav Dry Masala

Pav – 8 piece, My Choice Vada Pav Dry Masala – 8 tsp, Boiled and mashed Potatoes – 1 ½ cups, Ginger Garlic Chilli paste – 2 tbsp, Mustard Seeds – 1 tsp, Asafoetida – ¼ tsp, Curry Leaves – 6-8, My Choice Turmeric Powder – 1 tsp, Oil for deep frying, Bengal Gram Flour – ¾ cup, Baking Soda – a pinch, Salt to taste


Heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds, curry leaves, asafoetida and sauté for few seconds.  Add the ginger garlic chilli paste.  Add the potatoes, ½ tsp My Choice Turmeric Powder, salt and mix well and cool.  Divide the potatoes into 8 equal round balls.  To the gram flour add ½ tsp of My Choice Turmeric Powder, 1 tsp oil, baking soda and salt.  Add water to make a thick paste.  Dip each vada into the batter and deep fry in hot oil.  Slice each pav into half and spread 1 tsp My Choice Vada Pav Dry Masala in each pav.  Place one Vada in each Pav and serve immediately.
